Festival At A Glance


First held in 2008, the Backwoods Bash Music & Camping Festival is a family friendly event that features a diverse array of musical genres that showcases top independent bands from Middle America.   Oklahoma, particularly Tulsa, has a rich history of original music and the Backwoods Bash Music & Camping Festival showcases this talent to the public each Memorial Day Weekend.   The festival also features a kid’s area, local artists, food & beverage vending, swimming, boat launch and dock, games and activities, veterans’ memorial service, non-denominational church service and much more.

Location


The Backwoods Bash Music & Camping Festival moved to the shores of Keystone Lake in 2010, through a partnership with the Army Corp of Engineers.  The three-day festival takes place at the old Walnut Creek State Park in Prue, Oklahoma, just a 15 minute drive from downtown Tulsa.  The beautiful landscape includes camping areas, beach access, boat launch, and much more.

Benefitting Foundation


The Backwoods Bash Music & Camping Festival benefits the Make a Difference Foundation.  This foundation is dedicated to “making a difference” in the lives of those who are leaders, public servants and stewards in their communities.  They are dedicated specifically to education and learning, community action projects, as well as civil rights and advocacy for crime victims.  Through their annual calendar of recurring events and fund raising opportunities, this foundation raises money to support various initiatives like “Laptops for Leaders” and working with public figures to promote the vision of the foundation.
